The Friends of the Ripon Public Library are pleased to host Wisconsin historian and author, Erika Janik on Friday the 13th of April at their annual meeting. Erika Janik is author of A Short History of Wisconsin and Odd Wisconsin: Amusing, Perplexing, and Unlikely Stories of Wisconsin's Past. Her work has appeared in "Midwest Living," "MyMidwest," "Wisconsin Trails," the "Wisconsin State Journal," "Wisconsin Magazine of History," and "The Onion." Originally from Redmond, WA, she now lives in Madison, WI.

Andrew Karleigh, the Aquatic Invasive Species Coordinator in Fond du Lac County working with Glacierland Resource Conservation and Development, presents informational fun for all ages!
Using hands on, interactive learning tools, Mr. Karleigh will explore some of the commonly occurring aquatic invasives in our area, how they are spread, why they are not welcome guests, and what each individual can do to halt their proliferation. This free, informational and fun program is designed for school aged children up to adults.
