Free Audiobook Downloads starting Thursday, May 30th!!!

Audiobook Sync is running a fantastic summer program that involves free audiobook downloads ALL summer! Each week, 2 different books (one newish YA book and one classic literature book) will be available to download for FREE. You have just those 7 days to download the books, but then they are yours to keep FOREVER. All you need to provide is an email address. Then you can download the audiobook to your computer and play it using OverDrive Media Console (a free software download that plays nicely with Macs, PCs, iPhones, and Android devices). You can also transfer the titles to your iPod, iPhone, or other MP3 player directly from OverDrive.

This program starts on Thursday, May 30th and posts the new titles each Thursday. That means every Thursday after that, all summer long, 2 new books will be available. Interested to hear what titles are coming up? Check out the list of free titles below!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Ripon Public Library and Ripon Education Association are proud to present a birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss, his famous cat, and the many beloved characters he brought to life through his art and literature. This annual event, known nation-wide as “Read Across America,” celebrates the birth of Theodor Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss. Festivities will be held on Tuesday, March 5, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Ripon Public Library.

Time to Strut Your STUFF!

The library has a large display case in the lobby, in which a myriad of displays have been housed over the years. From stamps and campaign buttons, to tornado awareness and chickens, the cabinet has been a source of enjoyment and education for displayer and viewer alike.

Organizations wishing to promote their group and its causes are welcome, as are hobbyists, artists, crafters and individuals with collections.

To schedule a 2-month time slot for your display, please contact Linda DeCramer at the library, 748-6160 or by email, decramer@riponlibrary.org.

Play Group

Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to an informal Play Group on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Ripon Public Library Storytime Room.

This is a time and space for caregivers and children to simply relax, play, read and interact with one another other, in a dedicated space where children can be children.

For more information, please contact Linda DeCramer at 748-6160 or decramer@riponlibrary.org.
