This week members of our two new reading clubs got creative at the library! Readers wrote fun haiku reviews in order to book talk their selection for this month. Unlike traditional book clubs, there are no assigned books. Readers choose any book they'd like for that month and share their reading experience with the rest of the group - what they loved, what they didn't like, what they'd change, etc. Shy? No worries! Prompts are provided each month to get the conversation flowing. Bookin' It Up is our teen reading group for ages 13 & up and meets at the library on the fourth Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. during the summer. Books N' Brew is the adult variation and meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at Downhill Coffee (3 Harris Street in Ripon).
Do you have a haiku review that you'd like to share? Email submissions to email@example.com for review.
