NOV 1, 2020 LANTERN WALK

Primary tabs

Love & Light Lantern Walk

On Sunday, November 1 from 5-7 p.m. all ages are invited to enjoy a brief lantern-lit walk beginning on the Northwestern Trail, adjacent to the Ripon Public Library parking lot. This Tinkergarten inspired event is cohosted by the library and local Tinkergarten entrepreneur Carissa Sorensen. Social distancing and masks, for ages 5 years and up, are required. Arrive at your convenience; groups will enter the trail at 5-minute intervals and choose a 4 or 8 block loop circling back to the library.

In addition to the walk, participants are invited to spread goodwill by writing a hope or positive intention to be posted on the library entry windows within a painting by Sorensen titled Love and Light. A campfire will add light, warmth, and distanced camaraderie to the event.

For those who prefer a do-it-yourself option, Tinkergarten provides online ideas and instructions, www.tinkergarten.com/lantern-walk.

Registration is not required. For more information, call 920-748-6160, or follow our Facebook page.
