...And READ!

Beginning June 1st, make a brief stop at the circulation desk to register for the reading + prizes portion of the program—simply provide your name and phone number. Check out reading materials from the library and READ whatever YOU enjoy—books, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, etc. Each time you check out you’ll earn entry into fun prize    drawings AND earn a vote in our annual READ FOR A CAUSE campaign. This year’s recipients are: Ripon’s First Lego League; the library’s Board Game Collection; the Ripon Senior Center.  Prizes displayed at library.

Week 10:

Sunday, August 11| 1 P.M. | Dungeons & Dragons Campaign

Newcomers and experienced gamers embrace the fusion of gaming and role playing in this fun, dynamic experience that meets on the second Sunday of the month at 1 P.M.. For ages 13-adult. Younger participants welcome if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.


 

Week 11:

Monday, August 12| 2 P.M. | Monday Matinee — Newly released film to be announced.

Every Monday at 2:00 P.M., enjoy newly released films on the big screen! Popcorn is served. For descriptions and trailers, visit www.riponlibrary.org/MondayMatinees.

Tuesday, August 13 | 2 P.M. | Teen Board Gaming

Explore an assortment of games from the library’s upcoming modern gaming collection. Staff and expert volunteers will be on hand to guide players through a fun and rich gaming experience.

Thursday, August 15 | 6:30 A.M. | Lit and Fit: A Walking Book Club

Talk about what you’ve read lately and get new book suggestions during a morning walk with other readers. Two schedule options offered:  Thursday mornings at 6:30 A.M. and the fourth Thursday of the month at both 6:30 & 9 A.M. Meet in the library parking lot.

Wednesday, August 28 | 5:30 P.M. | Casual Role-Playing Games Featuring Mutant Epoch!

Explore a new one-shot RPG adventure with pre-made characters on the 4th Wednesday of each month at the library at 5:30 P.M.! This month's featured role-playing game is Mutant Epoch, a post-apocalyptic adventure where players battle mutants and cyborgs to survive. A second RPG one-shot will be available to accommodate a larger group.  Newcomers and experienced gamers are invited to join in on this fun experience. Drop-ins are welcome!
