Mark your calendar now for an amazing after-hours awards event, at the library, on Friday, August 28th at 6 P.M. Librarians Linda DeCramer and Mandy Canovan have dreamed up an evening of fun with music, silly games sure to get everyone laughing, and awards galore! Registered readers will be eligible to win a Kindle Fire, with a total of 6 being awarded throughout the evening – need not be present to win. In addition, many other prizes, including books, author autographed books and other items for the reading enthusiast of every age will be handed out throughout the evening.
Animals are ideal reading companions because they help increase relaxation and lower blood pressure, listen attentively, do not judge, laugh or criticize, and allow children to proceed at their own pace .
