Children's Summer Reading Program 2011

Storytime Around the World!
Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. June 14 - July 19 plus Wednesday July 27 @ 10:00 a.m.
Children's Librarian, Linda DeCramer, invites children and their families to travel the world via the Ripon Public Library! Enjoy approximately 45 minutes of virtual travel through, story, music, dance, craft, food, and art. Designed for ages 4 and up, although younger children are certainly welcome to attend and participate according to their own ability.
Make New Friends!
Ripon Public Library and the Alice Baker Memorial Library in Eagle, Wisconsin have joined together to offer a Pen Pal program for youth ages 12 and under, who have a parent’s permission to participate. Twenty three children in Eagle are eagerly awaiting pen pals.
To register and be matched with a pen pal, fill out and submit an “Application to Participate” form, which is available at the library, or by clicking right here [2]! Girls will be paired with girls, & boys with boys. To protect children’s identities, letters will be sent via the library, and only first names, plus last initial will be shared. After the summer is over, children who wish to share their home address with their new friend, may do so, BUT ONLY with their parent’s permission. Pen Pal letters count toward summer reading program Literacy Logs!
