Ripon Public Library and Ripon Education Association are proud to present a birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss, his famous cat, and the many beloved characters he brought to life through his art and literature. This annual event, known nation-wide as “Read Across America,” celebrates the birth of Theodor Geisel, otherwise known as Dr. Seuss. Festivities will be held on Tuesday, March 5, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Ripon Public Library.

All ages are invited to enjoy an abundance of Seuss related activities, featuring “The Cat” himself, crafts,  life-size interactive games, puzzles, board games, Seuss trivia, and, oodles of  books by Dr. Seuss available in both English and en Español.

Come in costume, or come as you are, but know that costumed attendees will receive V.I.P treatments and a small prize. However you come, plan to enjoy the effervescence and magic of one of the most prolific and influential writers of children’s books ever to live.
