The Friends of the Ripon Public Library will be holding their semi-annual used book sale from April 12-14 in the basement of the library. Donations of used books pour in throughout the year, and thousands have arrived since the last sale. The mission of the Friends is to promote and support public resources and community programs at Ripon Public Library, and proceeds from the sale are used to support this mission. In the past year the Friends have donated funding for the adult, teen and children’s summer reading programs, Couponing 102, Dr. Seuss, books on CD, and more.
Thursday, April 12: Preview Sale from 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Get a leg up on the competition by attending the Friends of the Library used book Preview Sale! Free for Friends members to attend ($3 entrance fee for all others), the preview sale will let you browse and purchase any of the books available. The sale will then be open free of charge on Friday and Saturday.
Friday, April 13: Book Sale area open from Noon - 7:30 pm
The library might close at 6:00, but the book sale will remain open until 7:30 for anyone looking for a great deal on a gently-used book. Come back tomorrow for even more deals!
Saturday, April 14: Book Sale area open from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
The Friends of the Library semi-annual used book sale continues. This is your last chance to stock up until the April sale! Because of the large volumes of book donations received throughout the year, most - if not all - books which don't sell will be recycled after the sale, and will not be here again in October.
