Reading Prizes for Everyone!
Win a prize each week that you complete 5 reading activities! Prizes will be on display at the circulation desk.
Weekly Prize Drawing
Two winners per week - Every week that you complete 5 reading activities, you may enter your name into a weekly prize drawing for a Plush Animal and Book prize.
Complete the Reading Program!
All children who complete the weekly reading requirements, at least 6 out of 7 weeks of the program, will win a "Get Creative" canvas tote and T-shirt, and have their name entered into the grand Prize drawing.
Grand Prize
Two winners - Of those who complete the reading program, two will be randomly selected to receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the Carley House.
Weekly Storytimes - Tuesdays @ 10:00 am
30-45 minutes of pure enjoyment designed for the preschool set. These "Be Creative" storytime sessions will feature books, crafts, music, dance, and plenty of opportunities for creativity! Registration is NOT required. Come one, come all, and join the FUN!

The Truly Remarkable Loon - Tuesday, June 16 @ 2:30 pm

Be Creative Crafting Bonanza - Tuesday, June 23 @ 2:30 pm
Enjoy a myriad of recycled crafting activities. Children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Black Light Camp Gets Creative! - Tuesday, June 30 @ 2:30 pm
Jane Swiggum is back by popular demand with her ever charming black light show. This year's show has been designed specifically for the "Be Creative" theme and is sure to be a hit. Features classic children's book characters and music.
Mime artist Mikael Rudolph - Tuesday, July 7 @ 6:30 pm
Minneapolis-based mime artist Mikael Rudolph is nationally known for his unique and impeccable artistry which harkens back to a time when entertainment was simpler, and more closely linked to play. His most precious prop is a healthy imagination. He can hold a thousand small children and their Headline News-addicted parents in awe and on the edge of their seats with nothing more than a little slapstick comedy, magic, puppetry, hat juggling, dance, and pantomime. You won't forgive yourself if you miss this!

Talent Show & Contest - Tuesday, July 21 @ 2:30 & 6:30 pm
Yearning for the bright lights of Broadway? Have a talent you want to share? Sing? Dance? Act? Comedy? Magic? Auditions held Monday July 6 @ 2:30 and 6:30 p.m. Bring your own props and live or recorded music. Library provides sound system and stage. Attendance at a dress rehearsal on Monday July 20 at 2:30 p.m. is required in order to perform.
Mr. Billy Gets Creative - Tuesday, July 28 @ 2:30 pm
Mr. Billy rocks and rolls with catchy original tunes, hard driving rhythms, in an interactive rock concert that keeps kids laughing, clapping and stomping their feet. Featuring songs from his latest CD "Let's Get Creative!"
