Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library sponsor activities in support of The Ripon Public Library. Ongoing activities include:

• Monthly used book sales, held the first Thursday of the month
• A monthly book discussion group
• Participation in the Pick'n'Save WE CARE Program (charity #248800)
• Annual meeting and program

New members are always welcome!! Please contact the library or any Friends of the Library board member for more information. You can also print & fill out an application to become a member and/or volunteer! (Adobe Acrobat Reader or compatible software is required to view the application.)

Fun Facts About the Friends

• The Friends of the Ripon Public Library was organized in 1963.
• The Friends hold monthly book sales on the first Thursday of the month from 12 pm to 7:30 pm, except in January and July.
• Donations for the book sales are accepted at any time and can be dropped off at the Library.
• The Friends hold an annual meeting in April.
• The Friends have assisted the Library with the following items recently:
  • Digital camera for staff use
  • Large print children's collection
  • Prizes for the first annual Adult Summer Reading Program
  • Programs and prizes for the children's summer reading program
  • Plastic magazine storage boxes
  • Staff laptop computer and digital video projector
