eBooks from netLibrary
The Ripon Public Library together with the Winnefox Library System offers an extensive eBooks collection. Via the Internet, NetLibrary provides access to thousands of books from all genres wherever a connection to the Internet is available. These "eBooks" contain the full text of the original titles, including linked tables of contents and indexes and full-color illustrations - almost nothing is left out of the original book, except the paper. When the Ripon Library building closes, NetLibrary is still open - so you'll always have a copy of Moby Dick handy at 10:30 p.m. on a Sunday evening for that last-minute school assignment. Just click on the NetLibrary logo to get started!
Some important bits of information regarding our eBook collection:
- NetLibrary eBook titles can be found using our online catalog. Please see a Librarian if you would like assistance getting started with NetLibrary, or with setting up a NetLibrary account)
- You may preview an eBook for 15 minutes at a time without having to check it out, with no limitations. (If you are on a Library computer, you may preview an item repeatedly / indefinitely.)
- eBooks in the Public Collection may be checked out for a period of 24 hours, after which they will be automatically checked in; checked-out books may be read on Library computers, or from home computers (provided the user has a NetLibrary account).
- If you go through a book's pages too quickly, you may receive a copyright warning message. This is a form of copyright reminder that the eBooks are there to borrow, just like the rest of the library's collection, and not to keep (by copying or printing many pages).
- If you have any other questions regarding NetLibrary, our collection, or eBooks in general, just ask!
