Library Archives
The Ripon Public Library maintains an extensive archival collection spanning over 150 years of historical materials, including magazines, statistical abstracts and almanacs, rare books, Wisconsin-related items and more. A partial list of available materials follows. Requests for archived materials should be made at the circulation desk.
Magazines
Generally, the library keeps the current five years for magazines with active subscriptions. Significant social and historical newsmagazines, including Wisconsin-themed magazines, will be kept indefinitely, as storage allows. Magazines in the library archives include:

Almanacs
The library archives include almanacs, abstracts, and other fact books dating back to the early 1900's. In particular, these include:

- Statesman's Yearbook: 1933 - 1996
- Various World Almanacs covering 1933 - present
Wisconsin-Related
Many books and magazines dealing with Wisconsin culture, government and history are kept in the library's archives. Several magazines are still in publication. In addition, older books on Wisconsin's history, including state Blue Books (back to 1885), are kept.
